Cheri Maisonneuve – Mirabella Lanes Art Studio
Mixed Media Artist, Texture Enthusiast, Jeweller I was born my optimistic, passionate, extroverted self, on April 17, 1978 in Cranbrook and moved around BC before my family landed in Quesnel in 1984. Since then, I have lived, studied, worked and played around Asia, Europe, North and South America.
I draw inspiration from cultures and people that I have experienced, and from my dreams about all the others I have not yet met. I allow myself to be brave and vulnerable in my art and listen to my heart’s whispers about my need to create. It is a journey, and I am proud to say that I am a mixed media artist. I love to play and incorporate various mediums to translate my beautifully messy journey through life into art. Life is messy, precious, glorious & good. I build complex layers and incorporate hidden treasures to engage the audience to look deeper into the art and into themselves. I believe that when we give ourselves permission to be brave and allow our creative light to shine, we open up a world of possibility and encourage others to do the same. I hope my art can inspire others to silence the critics and trust their innate ability to listen to their heart’s joyful whispers to create. |
