Birch sitting on a Pine frame. This is an experimental piece that a passage from Shakespeare’s play “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” provides the meaning for: “I know a bank where the wild thyme blows, Where oxlips and nodding violet grows, Quite over-canopied with luscious woodbine, With sweet musk-roses and with eglantine: There sleeps Titania sometime of the night” I really like the idea of combing living nature with my carvings, unfortunately things like frogs insist on hopping about so I am stuck with plants. The pottery for this piece was created at Nestel Pottery (250 992 2060). |
