Ron  Magill

Hello, I’m Ron Magill.

With the conversion of the scheduled live June Art Show to this On-line version I thought that it would be apropos to introduce myself and to say a bit about the show.

Over the years not everyone has agreed with me over the following statement “Everyone is an artist “. I believe that being an artist is not so much an inherent talent as it is the desire, passion and drive required in the creation of, well, almost anything. I also think that the appreciation of someone else’s passion adds depth to my own, so for me a good work of art is one that I can relate to; one whose values have been communicated clearly, a work with a voice. Having said that, I hope that my carvings will speak to you in a clear voice.

I could go on jabbering about art but I don’t want to bore you too badly. So I will finish by saying that I will try to anticipate some of the questions that would have been asked of me at the meet and greet and answer them through the descriptions that I give of my carvings.
